The staff is phenomenal but there is one who holds it together, The Barback. From his eloquent greeting, friendly but stoic smile, attention to detail, and his eagerness to support his bartenders he is the backbone of the business. Watching him work is like watching a majestic waterfall flowing in to a crystal clear lake with beautiful floral and fauna in a healthy ecosystem. Come come for the drinks and food, stay for the barback. His is Josh.

Stopped by to kill some time before our flight home. We shared a cav's platter and was plenty for two. Wasn't feeling well so didn't sample any beers/alcohol but the selection was big. Nice atmosphere and staff, would love to watch an Eagles game here!

Their menu lists the wings under award winning wings, six or twelve. Pretty freaking bold statement to list your wing selection with the words, award winning wings, this sets the expectation sky high. I can attest these were brilliant. Not overdone and the chicken cooked inside was luscious and just perfect. It came with six flats and six drumsticks. I devoured the flats, and it was enough to fill me up. I would love the opportunity to try more of their menu as they list some great pub food. This establishment has been around for a long time however they moved the location I wanted to say within the past two years, and it is no longer the old dive bar, it is now something much more. Great crowd for the PSU game that started at 12pm on Saturday. Will definitely return. And as always people SYOY!!!

Cavs Rittenhouse is a center city staple. The whole menu is good but the wings (go Cavs sauce) are probably the highlight. Cheesesteak egg rolls and pierogis are great appetizers. The servers are all knowledgeable and chill. The vibe is Philly sports bar, it's perfect.

The food had massive portions and was very delicious. We sat at the bar and had a really cool bartender named Brian, who made us feel right at home. It's a great sports bar, TVs everywhere and all positioned to be viewed from where you're sitting. A great vibe all around.

Honestly....I'm shocked I'm rating this 5 stars. Came here with a friend to watch the Phillies, and as a cocktail bar kind of person whose not big into sports, I had such low expectations. Right away I liked that they were managing the crowd size. It was full but not overly crowded inside. We were the last ones in before they started managing the crowd, and a line quickly formed outside. There was tons of seating inside, but we got there late so stood at the bar. If we get there earlier next time we could definitely get a seat. Service was great and we were easily able to order. We both just got seltzers. The food all around us looked great too, nachos and such...and next time were back we plan on getting some!

My first time at Cavanaugh's since the move and I had a good time. Upstairs was kind of crowded for the Palmetto Bowl so I stayed up there briefly then found a spot at the downstairs bar where I was able to meet some folks who lived within walking distance. We chatted a bit, I offered some beer options that I thought they'd enjoy as I indulged in a Goose Island Boubon County Stout which is absolutely delicious! Available only on the main floor and is greatly recommend. The Saturday night college football atmosphere did not disappoint at all. Maybe, a little too accommodating trying to satisfy everyone with games on the tvs which is never a thing cause someone will find a reason to complain, but overall I appreciated the effort to show as many games as possible. It was great seeing everyone in their college gear and hearing the Ooohhhs and ahhhs, laughter, fight songs, and screams across the bar, upstairs and downstairs. If you're game, I'd say grab a mystery beer and let your tastebuds be surprised. I was not disappointed at all. :) My only issue was after a while the bartender was MIA and never came back to check on us or to see if we needed anything else. It was pretty busy but with a couple people behind the bar, just a quick, "Hey, are you guys good?" Acknowledgment would have been nice. Overall, it was a good time, and the nachos were amazing even though they still came out wrong with the clarification. LOL

I've been to this location a few times, never a dull moment! Each time I've been I've sat at the bar (pictured) or the upstairs rail. Service has been great wherever I've sat. It is quite noisy, but that is to be expected, it adds to the atmosphere. I went this past Monday for the UGA vs. TCU game and the every was phenomenal!!! They were ended trivia right before the game, so it was crowded, noisy and challenging to move around. I had the wings and the buffalo did here, GREAT! Both items are filling and good to pair with a few beers. The upstairs bartenders are great in terms of service, remembering detail and engagement!
